There is a variety of research that documents women are better at creating concensus in groups. Women approach problems differently than men. Organizations are learning that by creating a board and an executive suite that looks more like their client pool is good business. Gone are they days that the CEO picks a bunch of yes men, who have had essentially the same experiences he has had and are there to support his vision. By bringing in women who approach problems differently as well as a variety of people from varying backgrounds CEOs are able to get more input and come to better decisions and enhanced vision. Research further points to that profit leading companies have more women on their boards and in their executive suites.
